Last night 7OD celebrated the end of their art unit with a display of their ‘Famous Forgeries’. Over a glass of wine or red cordial and some nibblies, the families of 7OD viewed many different famous artists’ styles including Monets, Lichtensteins, Van Goghs, Warhols and Dalis. I think all would agree that the children have discovered some hidden talents and have  not only learnt about the lives of these famous artists but also how challenging it is to create the shapes, colours and tones of a piece of visual art.

Hey Guys

I’m in Los Angeles right now. By the way ,with that tennis tournament I played, well I beat the top seed 6/4-6/2 and I won the finals 6/0-6/0.

Also the last two days we’ve been in San Francisco. Sorry but I didn’t get time to write a blog. Well on the first day we had a long plane ride so we arrived in the afternoon. For the rest of the day we just went down to the beach. The next day we walked across the Golden Gate Bridge in the morning then we went to Alcatraz which is a famous prison on an island surrounded by sharks.

So now we’re in Los Angeles at Disneyland but there isn’t much to talk about yet. I’ll write a blog later this week.

Hi Guys

We’re now staying at Tulsa, Oklahoma with some friends. My dad went to university here so we stayed with his old tennis coach for two nights and we’re staying with one of his friends for two nights.

There’s not really much to talk about but I played a tennis tounament here and I won my first round 8/0. That puts me in the semifinals and tomorrow I have to play the top seed.

The weather’s pretty chilly here but we’re still having a great time.

I’ll tell you how I go tomorrow.

Hey Guys

I’m here in New York. It’s Awesome!!

On Friday, which is your Saturday, we went and played at Flushing Meadows which is where the US Open is played at.It was really good.

We also went to the American Natural History Museum. It is so much better than the museum in Brisbane. Tomorrow we’re going to the Art museum which should be good.

On Saturday it was a big girls day. In the morning we went to a famous doll shop and I HAD to make a doll of myself for my Mum.(See photo) Then we went shopping for most of the day.

Tomorrow our last day in New York then we leave for Tulsa, Oklahoma to visit friends and play a tennis tournament.

P.S. How’s school going?

Hi guys.

Yesterday we arrived at Niagara Falls.

You should see it it’s huge. Our hotel is really good. It has a indoor pool and spa, an arcade, we got free popcorn and we have a view of the falls.

Today we’re going to go shopping then on a boat called Maid Of The Mist where you go right up to the falls. Tonight we’re going to a magic show.

Tomorrow we’re leaving for New York city.

Monday Term 4 starts

Hi Guys

Just an update on my trip.

We’ve only got one day left here in Orlando, Florida. Yesterday we went to Magic Kingdom which is the major park. It was really fun and for dinner we ate in a castle.

Today we went to Animal Kingdom which has obviously animals. We went on this massive roller coaster called Expedition Everest which is in a huge mountain.

In the afternoon we went to Epcot which is to do with the future. There they have this huge gaming area called Innoventions. My brother, sister and I made our own video game featuring us. Click on the link to play the game.

The next time I write to you we will probably be in Niagara Falls in Canada.
